Teenage Pedestrian Injured in Washougal Train Accident on Evergreen Way
Washougal, Washington (May 17, 2018) – A 15-year-old boy was struck and injured by a train on Tuesday night in Washougal, according to the Washougal-Camas Fire Department.
The crash took place in the 4800 block of Evergreen Way at about 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, May 14.
The boy was reportedly trying to climb under the slow-moving train when he was hit.
The operator of the train after the accident stopped and offered assistance to the teenager.
The Washougal-Camas Fire crews transported the victim to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland with a severe leg injury.
No other injuries were reported from the incident.
