Holly Anderson Killed in Airway Heights Motorcycle Accident on Highway 2
Airway Heights, Washington (May 17, 2018) – The motorcyclist who was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon in Airway Heights has succumbed to her injuries, according to the authorities.
The incident occurred on Highway 2 Tuesday, May 15.
According to a preliminary investigation, a pickup truck was traveling westbound on Highway 2 when the driver made a turn in front of an oncoming motorcycle, causing the two vehicles to collide head-on.
First responders performed life-saving measures on the rider, who was then airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane with life-threatening injuries.
The victim, later identified as Holly Anderson, 57, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
