Javier Rios Killed in Pullman Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 195
Pullman, Washington (February 13, 2018) – According to Washington State Patrol officials, a man who was hospitalized following a traffic accident in Pullman succumbed to his injuries on Sunday morning.
Troopers said the two-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 195 at about 12:45 p.m. Friday, February 9.
28-year-old Fernando Reyesplascencia was reportedly driving his vehicle northbound on Highway 195 when he lost control of the car and collided head-on with a southbound semi-truck operated by Derek Cocking, 28.
Reyesplascencia sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the car, Javier Torres Rios, 32, was airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday morning.
Cocking was unhurt.
An investigation to establish the cause of the accident is ongoing.
