Matthew Slade and 4 Others Injured in Vancouver 3-Car Accident on Highway 14
(February 12, 2018) – The authorities have identified five people who were injured in a traffic accident in Vancouver on Sunday, February 11.
According to a local news report, the three-vehicle collision occurred on the eastbound side of State Highway 14 at about 2:12 a.m.
According to a report by the Washington State Patrol, 42-year-old Matthew B. Slade had been driving his Mini Cooper eastbound on the roadway when he struck a Kia Optima operated by 28-year-old Paulette I. Ramirez before colliding with a Honda Passport operated by 53-year-old Jerry Ybarra.
The authorities said that Slade and Ramirez were injured in the collision and were taken to Legacy Emmanuel Medical Center in Portland for treatment.
34-year-old Nyrie L. Taylor who was riding in the Optima and a passenger in the Honda, 42-year-old Christabel Bello, were also hospitalized in the same facility.
Ybarra was rushed to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center with unspecified injuries. Ybarra was later cited for DUI.
An investigation to establish the cause of the accident is ongoing.
